I have now completed my PhD and moved on - details below.

I was a PhD Student at Bristol, working with Dr Walterio Mayol-Cuevas. My project deals with the design of an activity recognition framework aimed as an enabling platform for a wearable assistant, by building on the areas of Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence. After defending my PhD, I worked with Hawk-Eye Innovations in Basingstoke on sports officiating and broadcast systems. I was heavily involved in building the tracking system for Goal Line Technology, currently used in various football leagues.

Presently I am self-employed and spearheading a few projects of my own. I have been working with some partners on an augmented reality solution for sales, maintenance and repair of automobiles, called Augmented Mechanic. I also continue to consult for Hawk-Eye Innovations on the Goal Line Technology project.

My contact details are at the bottom of the page. Feel free to get in touch with me with questions/feedback about our work, or anything else for that matter. I can't take applications for internships or jobs (I have received job requests! Really!!) at Bristol, because I was merely a PhD student. If you feel I can help with a (vision-related) problem, I'd be happy to try! I'm also keen on helping under-grad students with vision-based hobby projects, although solely through e-mail.

Music is a big part of me. I am with the band Shrapnel, and we were active for 4 years before and during our graduate studies. Listen to our album "Intellectual Pursuit" here:
