Student Wins Google 2007-2008 Scholarship

Google and the Computer Science Department at Bristol are pleased
to announce that Dominique Kwiek is the recipient of the 2007-2008
Google Scholarship in Bristol. The Google Scholarship is awarded
to a female student in the Computer Science department whose academic
record is excellent.

Dominique, who is in the third year of her four year MEng in Computer Science
degree, said "It is an honour to receive such an award, and it is great to see
that Google are helping students complete their degrees, especially female
students".

Nicholas Creswell of Google said "Once again an excellent student has won
the award. We congratulate Dominique on the award, and we hope that
acknowledging her in this way will encourage other young women to
think of a career in Computer Science".
