Newly introduced prizes in Machine Learning

For this academic year 2013/2014, the department has introduced two new prizes in the topic of Machine Learning: concepts and applications. 
The first prize, sponsored by the global business and financial information and news leader - Bloomberg, will be awarded to the best undergraduate final year project in Machine Learning.
The second, sponsored by the leading B2B Big Data company for real-time performance information - GrowthIntel, is awarded to the best MSc project in Machine Learning.
Every year, a significant number of our final year students opt for a project in the research topics of Big Data, Data Mining and Machine Learning. The introduced prizes will highlight the best of these projects, and reward the students for their achievement.


This raises the number of industrial-sponsored prizes to fifteen, in addition to a number of departmental prizes.
