Engineering and Physical Science Research Council together with Economic and Social Research Council funded $1.6 Million resarach project on "Decision making in an unstable world". This interdisciplinary proposal brings together applicants from Psychology (Iain Gilchrist, Roland Baddley, Simon Farell, Casimir Ludwig), Mathematics (David Leslie, John McNamara) and Computer Science (Rafal Bogacz), and collaborators from application areas where making accurate decisions is critically important.

The project will use combination of behavioural experiments and computational models to understand how humans make decision in complex realistic scenarios. The results of this research will be used to improve the design of environment of human decision making, and to develop new algorithms for computer decision systems.
