Department wins bid to host High Performance Computing conference in 2011

The University of Bristol's Computer Science department is to host Europe's largest high performance computing conference focusing on the emerging technologies of many-core parallel processors and reconfigurable computing.
Previously held in Manchester, Belfast, Berlin and Rome, the 2011 Many-core and Reconfigurable Supercomputing Conference (MRSC) will be held from April 11th-13th and will be chaired by Simon McIntosh-Smith, a world-expert in many-core parallel processing technologies and senior lecturer in the Computer Science department.
The conference is expected to attract over 100 international delegates and will include one day of tutorials and two days of technical programme. The conference website is now live with the call for papers coming soon:
