Professor Nigel Smart, head of the cryptography group at the University of Bristol, has been appointed as invited Professor in the Computer Science Department of ENS Paris for 2010-11. Professor Smart will be visiting Paris in the next academic year and giving lectures on his work, in addition he will be collaborating with his colleagues at ENS.
ENS Paris is one of the top research and teaching institutes in France. In particular it has one of the worlds largest cryptography research groups. Professor Smart has been working with cryptographers at ENS for a number of years, and the invited Professorship will enable him to increase the interaction between Bristol and Paris
