Welcome to the Java Online Tutorial, or JOT for short. What can it do for you? Well, it:
teaches Java programming from scratch
covers a small but sufficient core of the language
has many interactive programming exercises
does not have a leisurely pace (you need printed books for that)
is not comprehensive (you need online reference materials for that)
cannot guarantee that you won't get stuck (you need personal tuition for that)
The aim of JOT is to help you learn the Java language quickly in the only effective way, that is by writing programs. There are a lot of programming exercises, where JOT can check the results for you.
I hope that you find JOT helpful. However, I cannot afford to provide any personal help for people outside the University of Bristol.
