About MeI am a PhD student in the Visual Information Laboratory at the University of Bristol, where I am performing research on the subject of `Driver Assistance Using Automated Sign and Text Recognition', under the supervision of Prof. Majid Mirmehdi. My research interests include image processing, computer vision, machine learning, and intelligent transportation systems. |

ResearchThe aim of my research is to explore methods and implement algorithms for the automatic detection and recognition of road signs, symbols, and text. Information such as shape, texture, colour, and motion are used for the recognition of symbols, and the extraction of text from road signs. Recognition is required to work at multiple scales and from multiple views. Video is received continuously from one or more cameras located on a Land Rover research vehicle.
