MSc Programme Descriptions

The tables below detail the units that must be taken for each of the MSc programmes. c is for compulsory units, o means optional. For MS50, only the S (standard) column is relevant. For the other programmes, only the E (experienced) and F (foundation) columns are relevant.

MS50

There is no 'E' stream for this degree programme. In the second semester you must take two options from the list above excluding Professional Awareness, bringing the total number of credits to 120. The unit on Professional Awareness must be taken as a voluntary extra unit in order to qualify for exemption from the BCS examinations. This will bring the number of credits to 130.

MS51

There is a slight imbalance in the number of units you take in the two semesters: 50 CP in the first semester, and 70 in the second.
