For home or EU students entering in 2012 and 2013, we will provide five scholarships worth up to two thousand pounds each over the course of the degree. The scholarships will be five hundred pounds per year and will be awarded to five students, on the basis of their academic record and the contents of their UCAS application. The award will continue for the length of their studies subject to satisfactory progress.

If you would like to apply for one of these studentships and intend to confirm your place at Bristol, please send a short personal statement to L.J.Watson@bristol.ac.uk before 1st June 2012. Your statement should explain why you think you would benefit from receiving a scholarship from the department.

Eliahou Dangoor Scholarship

The University of Bristol is pleased to announce its participation in the Eliahou Dangoor Scholarship scheme for home (UK) undergraduate students. The scheme has been made possible by the generosity of Naim Dangoor, and is intended to provide talented students the opportunity to study science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects at some of the leading universities in the UK. Dr Naim Dangoor studied engineering as an undergraduate in London seventy five years ago. He made a promise then that if he ever made a lot of money, he would give some away to support education projects. This scholarship scheme is one such way of fulfilling this promise.

The scholarship scheme will commence in 2010 and will run for three years. The University will offer in the region of 30 scholarships each year. Each scholarship will be valued at £1,000 and will be for one year’s duration.

For more information and eligibility details please see the University Student Funding Office
