This programme aims to develop the student's interest in and knowledge and understanding of the advanced technologies used to mount complex secure applications.

• Produce computer professionals who are familiar with all aspects of information security
• Equip graduates for a wide variety of employment in computing and business
• Give graduates the knowledge and experience to continue studying for a PhD, or to enter a career in research.

Semester 1: Cryptography A; Systems Security; Databases; Algorithmic and Economic Aspects of the Internet; plus Programming in C or both Introduction to Machine Learning and Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing.

Semester 2: Project Specification & Design; Cryptography B; Applied Security; Server Software; High Performance Computing.
