The disposal of computer equipment for recycling is arranged by the Computer Officer. If you have any other quipment that you longer use or is broken please contact the Department Safety Advisor. If a piece of equipment is in need of repair please contact the Department Office, Rm 3.37 and someone will put in a maintenance request.
Fire
Date of last fire drill: 21.01.09. All records of drills and evacuation plans are available in the Department Safety File in Rm 3.37.
The entire building is fitted with sensitive smoke detectors, except in the car parks where other facilities exist. They will be set off by cigarette smoke.
Find out how you get out before you need to! Accessible emergency exits do tend to conflict with security, so they are alarmed to prevent misuse. Whenever the alarm sounds you will have to evacuate the building immediately via the closest evacuation route, closing windows and doors.
First Aid
First Aid boxes are located in the Kitchen on Level Three and in the Porters' Lodge on Level Two. Please tell staff in the dept office when anything has been used from the first aid box.
