Summer internship
Cryptography has quickly become a central and popular theme within degree programmes at the University of Bristol. Funded in part by EPSRC research projects, the cryptography research group is offering several "internships" for summer 2009/10. The idea is that over the two month summer vacation period, students will work on selected topics within the research projects. This work will be paid at roughly 250 UKP per-week (you must be an EPSRC eligible student though), and will be supported by close interaction with academic and research staff within the group. This is an exciting opportunity for top class, penultimate year (i.e., 3rd year MEng or 2nd year BSc) students to get a head start on individual projects; we intend to favour those pursuing cryptography related individual projects, or PhD-level study.
Interested applicants should visit the research group web-page. to get an idea of the current group interests; for more information or to make an application, send a short one page "project proposal" (or outline of interests) to Dan Page at page@cs.bris.ac.uk or drop into MVB-3.10 to discuss ideas.
