Automatic quality improvement of archived film and video
This project is proposed by ITV to develop accurate restoration algorithms for archived film and video. The final aim is to produce an automated quality control and improvement system which mainly consists of three modules: defect detection, defect confirmation and defect removal. Currently, we are seeking statistical approaches to defect defects in digitized archive film by using temporal information across a number of frames.
