Robotics Group
Overview
Robotics research at Computer Science looks at the convergence between novel user interfaces, sensor integration and development and the cognitive aspects of interactive and reactive systems. We are in particular interested in:
- The design of robotic interfaces.
- Use of real-time sensing using Computer Vision, Inertial sensors, RFID, Ultrasonics, etc.
- Robots for people: Personal Robotics.
We are associated with the Bristol Robotics Lab a joint venture between the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England and part of the Faculty's research theme in Robotics that involves the departments of Mechanical Engineering, Aereospace, Engineering Maths and Anatomy.
