Architecture Group Projects

These are some suggested projects from the architecture group. Come and talk to use about them, or any others you might think of.

Icarus Project (Henk)
This can provide four subprojects implementing parts of Henk's Icarus and Daedalus languages.
Optimizations on the g++ compiler (Henk)
The egcs project is producing a high quality c++ compiler. There is the opportunity to add some useful optimizations such as exception culling.
Texinfo to man converter (Henk)
The GNU project uses texinfo as its documentation method. This allows a single source document to provide printed, HTML or online documentation. Unfortunately it does not provide traditional man pages.
Tracking with accelerometers (Henk)
The aim is to provide software which can convert accelerometer sensor data into position and orientation values.
