Oliver Ray

Biography

Oliver Ray is Lecturer in the Depatment of Computer Science and Member of the Intelligent Systems Laboratory. His research is on logic-based inference and its application to scientific reasoning (particularly in the emerging area Symbolic Systems Bioogy). Dr Ray has published more than 30 papers and co-chaired 8 international workshops on these topics. He serves on the Programme Committe of several prominent AI conferences including ECAI, AAAI and IJCAI; and he was a local organiser of the recent 2012 European Conference on Machine Learning and Knowledge Discovery in Databases.
