Rafal Bogacz is a Reader in Computational Neurosciencem, and author of over 50 publications in this area. Before joining Bristol as a leturer, he did his PhD in Bristol jointly in Computer Sicence and Neurobiology, followed by a postdoc at Princeton jointly in Mathamatics and Psychology. His research focuses on computational models of decision making in the mammalian brain. He is particularly interested in computations performed by the basal ganglia, and its dysfuntion in Parkinson's disease. He is a co-director of PhD programme in Neural Dynamics funded by the Wellcome Trust.
